Newton Regis is the next village to Austrey and they have recently built two new tennis courts. The tennis club is new and welcomes members from Austrey. The club membership secretary Sandra Yates lives in Austrey so ring her on 830009 or e-mail sandra.y@btconnect.com for more details. If you would like to join the club, but would like to see how it works first, then non-members are welcome at club nights [normally Friday evenings] for a small charge. [Best to ring to check arrangements beforehand as on occasions there are matches on these nights instead.] You can also book the courts privately. Booking details and booking sheets at the courts will tell you if the courts are booked - but you need to be a member to pre-book. Key is held at Newton Garden Centre and pay them - currently £4 /hour. |
